The hunting season 2009 is closed and on 2nd and 3rd December we had our Napha AGM. During this meeting “die Keiler” again received several awards:
We want to congratulate Silke von Gossler on her award for the “most active Napha Member of the year”. As chairperson of the Education Committee, she is very involved with planning and organizing all the courses for the Hunting Assistants and Camp Attendants.
Rainer Ling received the price for “Conservationist of the year” for his hard work as chairman of the Disciplinary committee. The year 2009 will be recorded as one of the most controversial periods concerning the future of hunting on Namibia’s valuable spotted cats. Through its Disciplinary Committee Napha could make an essential contribution towards protecting the ethics of trophy hunting.
“Die Keiler” were yet again honored for their continuous support on the medal sale program during the ’09 hunting season. Each hunter has the opportunity to honor his outstanding hunted trophies by purchasing the respective medal. This generates resources for Napha and the Education Committee.
Last but not least, Heleni Abraham, employee of the Halenke family also received an award for “Best camp attendant 2009”. We are proud of this accomplishment!
